West Bay Petroleum Expands Robotics Portfolio Through New Partnership with QYSEA

Doha ,Qatar August 2026 – West Bay Petroleum Co. W.L.L. (WBP), part of Mohamed Bin Hamad Holding (MBHH), chaired by H.E. Sheikh Jassim Bin Mohamed Al Thani, is pleased to announce a new partnership with QYSEA, a global developer of professional underwater robotic and remotely operated vehicle (ROV) technologies.

The partnership expands WBP’s growing portfolio of drone, robotics and reality-capture solutions into underwater applications, enabling the company to support customers requiring inspection, monitoring and data capture in challenging marine and subsea environments.

QYSEA develops advanced underwater robotic systems designed for a range of professional applications, including inspection of marine and offshore infrastructure, vessels, ports, pipelines, tanks and other submerged assets. Its technology combines underwater imaging, maneuverability and a range of specialized tools and accessories to support operations where conventional inspection methods can be difficult, time-consuming or potentially hazardous.

Through the partnership, WBP will support customers in Qatar with the selection and supply of QYSEA solutions, together with local training, technical support and after-sales assistance. The addition of underwater robotics complements WBP’s existing portfolio of professional aerial drones, autonomous robotic platforms, confined-space inspection systems and LiDAR reality-capture technologies. This enables WBP to support customers with technologies designed to operate across a wide range of environments from aerial and ground-based applications to confined spaces and underwater assets.

As industries across Qatar continue to adopt robotics and remote inspection technologies, WBP remains focused on introducing proven international solutions to the local market while providing the local knowledge, training and long-term technical support required for their successful deployment. The partnership with QYSEA represents another step in WBP’s continued expansion of its robotics and inspection technology portfolio and its commitment to supporting the digital transformation of Qatar’s energy, industrial, infrastructure and marine sectors.
